Strawberries in oil on panel, 5 x 7 inches. These berries were more of a challenge than I expected. Now I'm happy with them, and have just been waiting for a bright day to photograph them. Today was a bright day!
Does it look too dark on your monitor? It is so hard to know if the photo looks OK on other monitors. I really need to work out a system for photographing these paintings. What is your method?

ReplyDeleteVisiting yourblog, isaw your painting of strawberries, actually i like your painting but likeyou said it looks rather dark especially the white background. I take my sketches also with a canon camera, and if i put directly in my blog it also looks darker, the white paper becamegray. What i do is make the digital drawing more whiter and contrasting and then make the borders sharper in photoshop. Usually i used the sliders in image>levels and slide the left spot to the right and the right spot the left and the middle spot to the right or left till get a whiter background. Hope it will help, be free to ask.
It looks a bit dark on my monitor until I click on the image to magnify it. Enlarged it looks great.
