A 5" x 7" painting I did in oil. I had planned on toning down that vibrant green, as it doesn't really match my "model" pear. But I kind of like it now. What do you think?
It's so hard to ground a rounded object into its environment they always seem to have a way of hovering. You've done a great job with yours, the shadows and highlights of the pear are nice too.
Love the contrast of the greens, yellows and rusty brown. It glistens too. Wonderful Martine.

ReplyDeleteGo with your heart!
ReplyDeleteI think you shouldn't match life, you should paint the "pearness." If it feels vibrant to you, then that is your expression. Plus, I like it!
