Thats very good, and I like the soft contrast between the onion and the bottom half(beautiful green), the glare I didnt notice at all. Thank you for stopping by my blog : ) The product I use for my stamps is a very soft rubber slab (the pink one you saw on my picture is a bit stiffer and holds better). Its by Speedball, and I will post something about it later in my blog. Great painting, have you painted in oils for long?
Thank you for your positive feedback Mari! I look forward to reading about your stamp making process. I've been on & off with oils for a while now. When I took a painting class at college, we were required to use oil paint and learn with that. I'm glad to get back to using it again!
This may be strange but I love to eat onions like apples so it's nice to see someone take the time to admire its beauty through art the way everyone does apples.
This is gorgeous! The fine details, and the strong colors pretty much made everything popped! It looks like I could just grab the onion from my monitor. Well done!

ReplyDeleteThank you Mary! That is amazing that you can eat onions like that, but they are supposed to be very healthy, so that is a good thing!
